Aeon Zen are a progressive rock/metal band formed in 2008, led by the only permanent member, vocalist, guitarist, bassist, keyboard player and drummer, Rich Hinks.

Albums:

Rich is based in Cambridge, UK and he writes, records and produces the songs of Aeon Zen with guests appearing on the recordings with him.

The first Aeon Zen album, entitled “A Mind’s Portrait”, was released in 2009 to critical acclaim, labelled by Classic Rock Magazine as "a strong contender for best newcomer at the very, very least" and, additionally, as Progression Magazine’s selection for "debut album of the year") and continues to sell well as the awareness of Aeon Zen grows.

The second Aeon Zen album "The Face of the Unknown" was released On 12th October 2010 to further acclaim, being hailed as "The pilot light of modern music" and "A dizzying exercise in ruthlessly precise complexity" by Classic Rock Presents Prog magazine.

Rich is currently working on a third Aeon Zen album, to be released soon.

Live:

In 2010 Rich put together Aeon Zen Live. This is a live show involving other musicians playing alongside Rich and incorporates some of the guest musicians appearing live. In 2011, Aeon Zen live recently completed a 22 show European tour with the Devin Townsend Project.
